Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra Arthur D. Montzka Young Artists Concerto Competition

Congratulations to John Heo, 18, Academy student of Almita Vamos, who won the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Arthur D. Montzka Young Artists Concerto Competition. This competition was begun by Art Montzka in 1986 and has enjoyed a proud tradition of featuring some of Northern Illinois’ finest young artists. John will play with the orchestra on February 23 at the NIU Boutell Memorial Concert Hall and perform the Walton Violin Concerto.
