ITA-Art Camp

CREATIVE ARTS THERAPY SUMMER CAMPS
June 14 - July 30, 2010

MIC's Insitute for Therapy through the Arts offers integrated arts camps for children with special needs and uses music, visual art, dance, and drama to engage children’s creativity while facilitating socialization with peers.

Join us this summer as our team of creative arts therapists and arts specialists create a summer for your children filled with socializing, education, and exploration—all targeted to your child’s unique abilities.

ART CAMP
June 14-July 9

Printmaking

Do you have fantastically creative ideas, but don't quite know how to put them in motion?  Do you start projects, but quickly burn out or become frustrated and leave them unfinished?  Wold you like to collaborate with like-minded kids, but don't know where to find them?

Llearn this exciting and intricate art!  Explore the histrocial beginnings, investigate how printmaking is used in various cultures, and learn several techniques, from simple to complex.

Monday-Friday:  1:00-4:00 pm
(No camp 7/5/10)
Camp will culminate with an art exhibition and recption to share our work with family and friends.

For ages:  8-12

Cost:  $800

NOTE:  The focus will be on the process of printmaking with secondary goals of increasing socialization skills, organizational skills, and self-awareness.
