Karin Addis, an Iowa City native, received degrees from the Eastman School of Music and SUNY at Stony Brook. Her principal teachers include James Dunham and Kim Kashkashian, with whom she studied with as an exchange student in Germany. As a performer, she has played with the Sarasota Opera Orchestra, the Jacksonvile Symphony, and the Charleston Symphny as well as others, and took part in the 2010 North American Tour of Star Wars in Concert.
