Claire also attended Peabody Institute of Music.  She was a student of Ylda Novik, Theodore Lettvin, Orazio Frugoni and participated in master classes with Irwin Freundlich, Leon Fleisher, John Browning.

Awards and achievements: 
Claire is a winner at the National Arts and Letters competition and the Three Rivers Competition. 

A member of the award-winning duo-piano team of Aebersold and Neiweem with husband Ralph Neiweem. 

As part of the Aebersold and Neiweem duo-piano team, she toured throughout the U.S. and Europe, including six concert tours of Italy; performances for WFMT radio; performances for PBS TV (30 minute special on Aebersold and Neiweem).  The Aebersold-Neiweem team performed live for Radio Italiana Television and made first recording of Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 15 for piano 4-hands on the Summit label.

Professional Affiliations & Activities

Claire is a long-standing piano faculty member at the Music Institute, and with her husband Ralph, she co-founded the Chicago Duo-Piano Festival, the Chicago Duo Piano Festival's Winter Mini-Fest and the International Duo Piano Competition, held annually at the Music Institute of Chicago.
