
At MIC's summer Cello Intensive, students have fun while improving their cello technique, perfecting practice plans, exploring alternative musical styles, learning how to perform under pressure, and more! Each student will receive a booklet of exercises and music and will have access to recorded sessions.
For Suzuki and traditional method students at Suzuki Book 8 & above
Daily Schedule
9:30 - 10:00 am Warmups and stretching
10:00 - 11:00 am Technique
11:00 am - 12:00 pm Alternative styles & special topic classes (vibrato/intonation bow stroke development, or rhythm and movement classes with Sarah Montzka)
12:00 - 1:00 pm Lunch - bring a bag lunch
1:00 - 2:00 pm Cello choir
2:00 - 3:30 pm Performance class, mental performance training, and effective practice training
3:30 - 5:00 pm Optional 45-minute private lessons with Mr. Friedlander for an additional fee. Sign up for a lesson with Mr. Friedlander on the registration form. Time slots for lessons will be determined after registration concludes.
