Composition

Composition instruction is geared to meet the needs of students at all levels. Compositional techniques are progressively introduced and explored through a variety of exercises, as well as through listening and analyzing works from musical literature. Through MIC’s Four Score Festival, composition students have a prized opportunity to interact with living composers. In addition to private study, MIC offers semi-private instruction and a Composer’s Lab.
