Astera String Quartet Wins Silver Medal
The Fischoff National Chamber Music Association sponsors the nation's largest chamber music competition, and is America's premier educational chamber music competition.
The Academy is proud of the ensembles that advanced in this year's competition:
Quarter Final Round: Astera String Quartet, Esperanza Piano Quintet, Monet Piano Quartet
Semi-Final Round: Astera String Quartet and Esperanza Piano Quintet
Final Round: SILVER MEDAL WINNER -- Astera String Quartet -- Ria Honda, Hannah White, Kayla Cabrera and Annamarie Wellems

12th Annual Saint Paul String Quartet Competition
Gold and Silver to Academy Ensembles
The SPSQC attracts the finest and most talented high school musicians from around the country. The annual competition, held in Sundin Music Hall at Hamline University, St. Paul, MN, was fouinded as a performance forum for outstanding high school chamber musicians. The SPSQC has garnered a national reputation for showcasing the nations finest pre-college string players who matriculate to the most prestigious conservatories in the nation.
The Academy has had resounding success at St. Paul over the years bringing home gold, silver, bronze and Haydn prizes through the years.
