Almita and Roland Vamos Solo with Northwestern Orchestra

MIC faculty members Almita and Roland Vamos performed Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat Major, K. 364 with the Northwestern University Chamber Orchestra on March 13 at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall. Robert Hasty conducted the performance, which also included works by Wassenaer, Milhaud and Stravinsky.  The Vamoses will also perform the Mozart as part of a tour to China in March.  Scores of Vamos students and alumni attended the concert at Northwestern and heard a performance played with exquisite lyrical beauty.  The ":Vami" have taught at MIC for more than thirty years.
