Congratulations to the Kairos String Quartet from MIC's Academy. The string quartet won first place at the 2018 Annual Rembrandt Chamber Players High School Chamber Music Competition.
The Kairos String Quartet includes:
Joshua Brown, violin and viola, student of Almita and Roland Vamos
Julian Rhee, violin/viola, student of Almita Vamos
Thompson Wang, violin, student of Almita Vamos
Lydia Rhea, cello, student of Hans Jorgen Jensen
Founded in 1996, the RCP Annual High School Chamber Music Competition is widely regarded as one of the premier youth competitions in the country. In addition to the prestige of being named Rembrandt Young Artists, winning groups receive cash prizes, master class instruction from RCP musicians, and additional performance opportunities. Winning ensembles are invited to perform at Rembrandt’s first concert of the spring season every year.
