Dear Friends,
We continue to carefully follow reports from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) regarding COVID-19. As was previously communicated, the best response is still the same as for combatting the spread of regular seasonal flu.
1. If you are sick, stay at home. As would normally be the case, students should notify their respective teachers about absences.
2. Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water. This practice is an effective way to keep yourself safe. The CDC also recommends limiting as much as possible the number of times you touch your face.
- To promote this activity, we are installing signs at the entrances to our campuses, reminding everyone to wash their hands before going into lessons or classes.
3. Disinfect common area surfaces. This activity is a part of the regular routine for our custodial crews. However in an abundance of caution,
- MIC staff will wipe down common areas at least once during each day.
- In addition, we have asked our teachers to wipe down piano keyboards after each use.
Thank you for being a part of the MIC community. I appreciate your cooperation in this response and will continue send updates as needed. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or suggestions.
Sincerely,
Mark George
