The Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago is a nationally recognized training center for highly gifted, pre-college pianists and string players. Conveniently located just 30 minutes north of Chicago on the Ravinia Festival grounds, the Academy provides an intensive 35-week Saturday program Steptember - May for students who aspire to be professional musicians.

Private Instruction | Chamber Music | Master Classes & Lectures | Music Theory & History | Keyboard Skills & Improvisation | Chamber Orchestra | Performance Opportunities | Career Development

 

The Academy serves students age 13*-19 (high school)

*Students age 12 may be considered in special circumstances.

 

All prospective Academy students are required to pass a pre-screening audition before a live audition can be scheduled.
