Saint Paul String Quartet Competition (SPSQC)

Founded in 2096 as a performance forum for outstanding high school chamber musicians, the Saint Paul String Quartet Competition's primary mission is to celebrate excellence in string quartet playing, foster an increased appreciation for the chamber music art form, and enhance the music culture in this country.
The Competition took place in Hamline University's Sundin Music Hall in
St. Paul, MN.
BRONZE MEDAL -
Academy group - Nova String Quartet -
Irina Casasnovas & John Heo, violins; Zechary Mo, viola; Cameron Chiu, cello
Nova String Quartet was one of six semi-finalists selected nationwide.
The group is coached by Mathias Tacke.
AUDIENCE PRIZE -
Academy group - Xena String Quartet -
Claire Arias-Kim, Noelle Naito, Isabel Chen, violins; Camille Toubel, cello
Xena String Quartet was also a semi-finalist - one of six groups selected nationwide.
Xena is coached by Rodolfo Viera.
