Society of American Musicians Competition

The Society of American Musicians, founded in 1914, offers assistance and encouragement to young musicians and promising artists through competition, awards, and performance opportunities for a wide rang of instruments.
Each spring, instrumentalists under the age of 24 are invited to participate in the competition. In addition to the monetary prize, all first place winners will be invited to perform at the Winner’s Concert in Nichols Concert Hall at the Music Institute of Chicago’s Evanston campus.
