Early Music
The Music Institute of Chicago offers unique opportunities to study music and instruments popular in the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras. Private instruction is offered in Baroque violin, lute, theorbo, recorder, harpsichord, natural trumpet, and organ.
Advance Recorder Class (adults)
Explore recorder duets and trios from several centuries. In addition to making beautiful music, we’ll discuss tone, intonation, phrasing, articulation, and ornamentation. (Pitch A = 440)
